- ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING MINUTES of the OCC Annual General Meeting held Tuesday May 17, 2022 @ 7:00 p.m at the Eastlink Curling Centre, chaired by President Randy Grandish Present: 18 voting members were present. The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. and agenda adopted (See attachment Moved by Linda Schroter Seconded by Rick Reimer Carried.
- 2. MINUTES: The minutes of July 12, 2021 meeting were approved (See attachment 2) Moved by Bob Shanks Seconded by Cathy Pidduck Carried.
- 3. FINANCIAL REPORT FOR 2021 - 2022 Bob Shanks presented reports. Bob responded to a few questions he received. Wages were lower this season due to not hosting bonspiels and special events. Members thanked Bob for doing his Treasurer role. (See attachment 3) Moved by Leo Rivera Seconded by Megan Wagner Carried.
- 4. PRESIDENTS REPORT - by Randy Grandish (see Attachment 4) Randy presented and thanked all volunteers. Randy mentioned that he will continue to manage the bar with Mark Powell. Cathy Thompson presented her Report from the Day league (attached) Members thanked Randy for the many hours of work in this role for the past 3 years. Randy will be back on the board as the Past President for the 2022- 2023 season.
- 5. PROPOSED BUDGET FOR 2022-2023 John Surovy made a motion to move this discussion to after #10 on the Agenda Moved by John Surovy Seconded by Cathy Pidduck Carried
- 6. REPORTS ON GRANTS Randy reported 25000 Grant - used for humidifier 80000 Grant - for Ice Maker and other equipment - 75000 spent and we can Still use 5000 for this season. 7600 Grant - used for Senior League and Junior League
- 7. REPORT ON PROPOSED BUILDING EXPANSION ACCESSIBILITY GRANT Brad Dufour presented his report and drawings and has been part of a committee including Murray Soder and Bruce Schroder that have been working with Contractor Paul Dumoret from 3 Bar Construction. The 100,000 Grant will be used to add an Entrance and Elevator on the North West side and will relocate upstairs washrooms for wheelchair and handicap standards. Hopefully complete outer frame by Sept 30, 2022. Curlers would be able to use West entrance for start up of new season in October. (see attachment 5)
- 8. VOLUNTEERS FOR WEBSITE, REGISTRATION AND GRANT APPLICATIONS Randy noted that Jean Lederer and Diane Cameron where no longer volunteering to do these tasks and the club had to address this. The members were very thankful for all their hard work over the years.
- 9. PROPOSAL TO HIRE CLUB MANAGER Randy had info from the Osoyoos Club Manager The duties included website editing and managing emails to the club, registration and grant application and helping board members with clerical tasks. There was discussion amongst the members and it was decided to hire a Club Manager with further investigation Moved by Brad Dufour Seconded by Cathy Pidduck Carried
- 10.SET OR RETAIN EXISTING FEES FOR SEASON The members discussed the increase in fees to help offset the cost of hiring a club manager and it was decided to raise all registrations by $20.00 per half season. Moved by Rick Reimer Seconded by Cathy Pidduck Carried
- 11.PROPOSED BUDGET FOR 2022 - 2023 Bob Shanks presented the Budget and the members agreed to increase Registration fee income to 36800. Expenditure payroll would increase by 8000 to accommodate a club manager,(See attachment 6) Moved by John Surovy Seconded by Wanda Casorso Carried
- 12.ELECTION OF OFFICERS Board positions up this year are: President Secretary 2 Year Director 2 Year Director 2 Year Director Election was done and nominations came from members in attendance All new positions were filled by acclamation and the rest were returning Board members from the previous year.

- 14.SET OPENING DATE FOR SEASON The members suggested that the league play starts the week of Oct 11, 2022 With practice ice available the week of Oct 3rd.
